About The Position

Intertek is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician (I) to join their Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in La Porte, Texas. Requirements

Experience working hands-on, doing physical labor, in an outdoor work environment.
Experience working in the construction industry (or relevant).
Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
Must possess, or be able to obtain prior to hire, a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
Must be able to obtain and maintain client-required site access credentials, including petrochemical and port facility access.
Must meet all Intertek and client site pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to criminal background, urinalysis, and hair follicle drug test.

Construction Material Testing (CMT) experience
ACI / NICET Certifications
Plant experience

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or detailed controlled procedures.
Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (example: Soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting.
Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results.
Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
