About The Position

TTL is seeking an ICC-certified Construction Materials Special Inspector to work on projects in the Southeast. The role performs building inspections and quality assurance/quality control testing of construction materials and building components, including soils, masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and fireproofing. The position requires on-site work and outdoor work in hot and cold conditions. Employment is full-time and subject to a pre-employment drug and motor vehicle record check.

Requirements

• ICC certifications in reinforced concrete, soils, masonry, structural steel, and fireproofing; all five certifications are preferred.
• ACI certification.
• Three years of experience performing special inspections and testing.
• Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Sufficient stamina to work outdoors in hot and cold environments.

Nice To Haves

• All five listed ICC certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site observations and inspections to ensure compliance with local building codes.
• Collect samples according to project requirements and ASTM standards.
• Perform QA/QC testing on construction materials and building components.
• Follow proper procedures and perform accurate computations.
• Maintain cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, and contractors.
