construction manager - Northeast (OH, CT, Upstate NY)
About The Position
The Construction Manager serves as the primary point of accountability for construction execution and partners closely with Real Estate, Design, Operations, Planning, and execution and delivery teams for new coffeehouses in the Northeast region. The role oversees the successful delivery of new coffeehouse development projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with Starbucks design and construction standards. The role supports New England, Northeast Ohio, New York State excluding New York City, and Pennsylvania excluding Philadelphia. The ideal candidate is located in the Cleveland area, Upstate New York, or Connecticut.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of construction project management experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or commercial environments.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple concurrent construction projects.
- Minimum of 5 years of general contractor management and construction bidding experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and capital planning.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with permitting, entitlement, and jurisdictional coordination.
- Minimum of 5 years of new store development and/or renovation project delivery experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of cross-functional project leadership experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in QSR highly preferred.
- Ideal candidate is located in the Cleveland area, Upstate New York, or Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including pre-construction, bidding, permitting, construction, turnover, and closeout.
- Develop, manage, and forecast construction budgets and manage construction timelines.
- Conduct site visits and construction inspections to monitor project progress, quality, and compliance.
- Support the Northeast territory, including New England, Northeast Ohio, New York State excluding New York City, and Pennsylvania excluding Philadelphia.
