About The Position

The Construction Manager oversees the day-to-day execution of multiple residential rehabilitation and reconstruction projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget goals are met. The role bridges office and field work, involving direct communication with homeowners, subcontractor coordination, support for project managers, and timely resolution of construction issues. The ideal candidate has residential construction experience, understands federally funded program requirements (with FEMA and HUD/CDBG-DR experience preferred), and is comfortable in a client-facing, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

At least 5 years of residential construction or construction management experience.
Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multiple job sites concurrently.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work professionally with homeowners, clients, and crews.
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and problem-solving ability.

Nice To Haves

Experience with federally funded housing programs, including FEMA, HUD, or CDBG-DR.
Experience with Procore or BuilderTrend.

Responsibilities

Communicate with homeowners to explain project scope, schedule, and expectations.
Manage multiple residential construction sites and ensure adherence to quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to maintain efficient workflow.
Review RFIs, submittals, and change orders for accuracy and compliance.
Participate in project meetings and planning sessions to address progress and issues.
Facilitate and coordinate utility and service shutdowns and startups as needed.
Track close-out issues and ensure their timely resolution.
