About The Position
Middleton Meyers Construction Services (MMCS) provides reliable construction and renovation services with a focus on capital improvement (CapEx) projects across multifamily communities. We partner with property owners and management teams to help improve, maintain, and enhance their properties through quality workmanship and efficient project coordination. Our team supports a variety of property improvement needs, helping multifamily communities complete projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard. We take pride in being a dependable partner from project planning through completion. At MMCS, the Laborer supports construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects across Middleton Meyers' multifamily properties. This position works as part of a small field team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
Requirements
- 2+ years construction or general labor experience preferred.
- Ability to bring your own basic tools (tape measure, drills, small saws, etc).
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Multifamily renovation or maintenance experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with apartment renovations, repairs, and property improvement projects.
- Perform general construction and manual labor as assigned.
- Assist with demolition, cleanup, painting, repairs, and installation work.
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Properly use and maintain hand tools and equipment.
- Report job site issues, safety concerns, or material needs to the Leadman or Foreman.
- Work cooperatively with team members, vendors, and subcontractors as needed.
- Complete assigned work according to MMCS quality standards.
- Inspect and verify the quality and completeness of their own work before reporting it as complete.
- Correct deficiencies identified by the Foreman or management.
- Take pride in maintaining a professional appearance and quality workmanship.
