About The Position

Responsible for assisting tradesmen on construction sites such as carpenters, plumbers, electricians, cement finishers, pipefitters and other tradesmen and operating engineers.

Requirements

Knowledge of building & construction materials
Knowledge of hand tools
Ability to commute/relocate to Dededo, GU 96929: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist construction site workers in erecting structures and demolition.
Build scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
Hold timbers, lumber, and paneling in place for fastening or cutting.
Drill holes in lumber.
Hold plumb bobs, sighting rods, and other equipment, to aid in establishing reference points and lines.
Assist in the layout of foundation, building line and anchor bolts.
Assist in installing electrical systems, either below 40,000 watts or above.
Thread conduit ends and connects couplings and conduit fittings using a wrench.
Secure brackets to bulkheads with screws and bolts and pull wires through conduit leading to connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminals.
Disassemble and remove the damaged or worn pipe.
Immerse pipe and chemical solution to remove dirt, oil and scale.
Clean and renew steam traps.
Fill pipes with sand or resin to prevent distortion and hold pipes during bending and installation.
Assists to install, connect and text complete water and sanitary piping systems.
Remove the damaged stone, brick, or mortar and clean and prepare surfaces.
