Construction Laborer
About The Position
The construction laborer position is responsible for building and installing structures and frameworks including walls, floors, and door frames. This role also involves inspecting and replacing damaged framework, structures, and fixtures, and performing basic duties associated with carpentry and masonry. The company, Heller's Gas, is a family-owned and operated business that has been supplying propane products and custom fireplaces since 1941. Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Relevant experience with carpentry, masonry, and electrical is required
- Familiarity with residential and commercial construction practices
- Valid driver’s license
- Must possess one’s own carpentry tools
- Employment is conditional on verification of clean driving record, background check(s), and pre-employment/random drug testing
- Must be willing to travel
- Ability to work outside of or in addition to regular hours as needed

Responsibilities
- Build and repair structures associated with residential and commercial construction/remodeling
- Set up equipment to be used at work sites
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements
- Grind, sand, and polish surfaces such as concrete or wood
- Install and finish dry wall and flooring surfaces
- Unload materials such as lumber, tools, and other equipment used at work sites
