This internship is located in Harlingen, TX; Pecos, TX; or Tulsa, OK, and requires on-site work with travel.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
Valid State-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record and vehicle insurance which meets Alston Construction liability coverage requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist Estimating/Preconstruction with preparing Invitations to Bid (ITBs) and soliciting competitive trade proposals.
Assist Estimating/Preconstruction with the development of estimates.
Perform quantity take-offs.
Assist Estimating/Preconstruction with proposal development.
Assist Superintendent with coordination of subcontractor meetings.
Perform, verify, and maintain punch lists.
Conduct jobsite inspections.
Assist Project Manager with Requests for Information (RFIs).
Assist Project Manager with records retention.
Participate in applicable monthly project reviews, project meetings, corporate meetings, and forums.
Assist Project Manager with the preparation of change orders.
Assist Project Manager with the review of drawings and plans.
Comply with all safety policies, report suspected safety concerns, make recommendations for enhancements to the safety program, and visibly support and uphold the company’s strong safety culture.
