About The Position
ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Mission Critical team in Milwaukee, WI, focusing on pricing and managing data center construction projects nationwide. Requirements
- BS in Engineering, construction management, or related field required.
- 2-5 years of construction management and/or estimating experience required.
- Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
Nice To Haves
- Previous design/build project experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience leading data center or advanced manufacturing projects strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from preconstruction through project closeout.
- Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
- Participate in proposal meetings with clients to review scope of work, discuss cost reduction, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
- Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
- Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule.
- Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan.
- Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors, and vendors to address potential constructability, sequencing, and manpower issues.
- Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site to review progress and address challenges with the client.
- Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
- Make the construction process FUN for clients, subcontractors, and vendors without sacrificing quality or safety.
