About The Position

The Construction Coordinator 1 is responsible for the daily supervision and functioning of one construction project and/or one crew on a construction project. The role includes field verification, monitoring work quality and quantity, maintaining crew performance standards and the contract schedule, and completing the administrative tasks needed to document the work. The coordinator also ensures that safety practices and procedures are followed. Other related work may be assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to complete assignments without supervision and self-direct daily activities.
• Organized and motivated to provide project support as directed.
• Conscientious professional with a pleasant phone manner and excellent organizational skills.
• 1–3 years of previous field construction experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Visit the project site to verify the location and nature of work being performed.
• Confirm the quality of work and quantity completed at the end of each day.
• Maintain acceptable performance standards and metrics for the crew working on the project.
• Maintain the contract schedule.
• Complete administrative functions needed to document work, including ordering and tracking supplies, billing, hours, and safety documents.
• Ensure safety practices and procedures are followed at all times.
• Perform other related work as assigned using available resources to achieve established goals.
