Construction Control Representative
About The Position
National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) is connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). This role provides administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Bureau of Reclamation. The duty station is the BOR Pojoaque Field Office in Pojoaque, NM, with frequent local travel required. Candidates must have their own transportation, a valid driver's license, and auto insurance; mileage will be reimbursed. This is a temporary enrollment in a grant program, and the relationship is at-will. An enrollee is not a federal employee or an employee of NEW Solutions.
Requirements
- HS/GED Degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction Inspection
- Experience with Windows, MS Word, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
- Candidates must have their own personal transportation, valid driver license, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities
- Document compliance status with contract schedules, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Report potential noncompliance as directed.
- Complete daily field reports.
- Observe and inspect construction to document compliance status.
- Report or escalate issues as directed by Reclamation officials without supervising federal employees or contractors.
- Become familiar with contract requirements and safety requirements (70% of the role).
- Complete daily field reports to document construction activities with a high level of detail (10% of the role).
- Perform other duties as directed (20% of the role).
