About The Position

Serve as project coordinator with full responsibility for the surveillance of assigned construction projects. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Requirements

• US Citizens
• One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Perform inspection of construction projects for adherence to plans decided in the contract; AND 2) Review designs during planning stage of the contract; AND 3) Review safety requirements for strict adherence to all safety regulations.
• Must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical specialist for quality assurance and surveillance of construction.
• Review final plans and specifications for construction feasibility and practical accomplishment, and interpret technical portions for other participants.
• Provide oversight and inspection of construction operations to ensure proper quality and quantity of material and equipment, workmanship, adequacy of contractor's methods, etc.
• Perform technical duties including review of shop drawings, preparing response to contractor inquiries, as well as, performing the following work related to contract modifications.
• As Resident Office Safety Officer, responsible for the strict enforcement of safe practices and safety regulations.
