About The Position
Miller Bros. Const., Inc. is a heavy-civil contractor specializing in earthmoving, utility installation, and structure development for public roadway, industrial, and commercial clients. The Construction Co-op provides a well-rounded experience combining office and field opportunities, tailored to students’ goals and interests. Co-ops may shadow experienced professionals, work on hands-on field tasks, and build project management skills in the office. They will be exposed to active projects, collaborate with company teams, and gain experience that supplements their college coursework. The environment is fast-paced and changing, and encourages initiative and curiosity while focusing on the student’s professional growth.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of college credits in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, a related field, or related experience.
Responsibilities
- Shadow Project Managers and Superintendents in the office and/or field.
- Support submittal reviews and correspondence.
- Assist with time and material tracking.
- Participate in schedule review and project planning discussions.
- Draft and track Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Contribute to estimating and quantity takeoffs.
- Help with change order development.
- Verify material deliveries and maintain inventory records.
- Document project progress in the field.
- Assist with project closeout documentation.
