About The Position

Weston & Sampson is seeking a Co-Op employee for its Summer 2027 full-time Co-Op/Intern program, running from May through August. The role performs cross-connection control surveys for private and public water systems and is based out of the Plymouth, Massachusetts, or Wilmington, Massachusetts office. The Co-Op will complete assigned testing and surveys, document field activity for clients and the office, and develop skills in backflow testing, cross-connection systems, software, production, and customer-oriented communication.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
0 to 1 year of experience in a related field, with a basic understanding of or interest in water systems.
Willingness to obtain required licenses within the specified timeframe.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a team environment and get along with others.
Ability to meet deadlines, work cooperatively with others, and work overtime and weekends when necessary.
Ability to communicate through email and complete basic data entry and documentation requirements.
Basic computer literacy, including an understanding of the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

Perform cross-connection control surveys for private and public water systems.
Effectively use a backflow test kit.
Develop an understanding of cross-connection systems and work toward meeting daily production requirements.
Develop production skills by learning to use software efficiently.
Document field activity for clients and the office.
Complete assigned testing and surveys.
Develop customer-oriented interpersonal skills.
Seek clarification on unclear requirements and identify and clarify assumptions in design and implementation.
