Requirements

Experience in construction purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Knowledge of construction materials, terminology, and project workflows
Ability to read plans, specifications, and purchase documentation
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Proficiency in procurement software, Excel, and ERP systems
A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

Experience with commercial or industrial construction projects
Knowledge of inventory management systems
Background in estimating or project coordination
Familiarity with contracts and compliance documentation

Responsibilities

Source and purchase construction materials, tools, equipment, and subcontracted services
Build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery timelines
Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs
Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and site supervisors
Track orders and resolve supply chain or delivery issues proactively
Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities
Ensure procurement complies with company policies and project budgets
