About The Position

We are seeking a creative and innovative intern to support our assigned team with a variety of projects and administrative work. This is a real-world experience opportunity that will allow you to add valuable skills to your resume. Top-performing interns may be considered for entry-level full-time positions. As a Construction Asset Management Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in reviewing construction reports, budgets, and loan documentation, processing draw requests, and participating in project meetings. You will also conduct market research, learn relevant software tools, and collaborate with a manager and mentor to develop and present a comprehensive end-of-internship project. The program aims to broaden your technical abilities and develop emotional intelligence (soft skills). Weekly Development Days will offer professional growth opportunities, including mock interviews, resume reviews, LinkedIn training, DISC assessments, and 'Company Insiders' sessions to learn about the company and its departments.

Requirements

  • Students who have completed at least their sophomore year of college.
  • College graduates are welcome to apply as well.
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.
  • Pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Interest in multifamily housing and community-focused real estate.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship or coursework in real estate or finance is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing monthly construction reports and track progress against approved budgets and timelines.
  • Assist in reviewing construction budgets and loan documentation.
  • Help process and track draw requests and disbursements.
  • Assist with time-sensitive and high-impact projects outside of core responsibilities.
  • Participate in meetings with Loan Officers, Asset Managers, and project teams.
  • Conduct research on market trends, construction costs, and project risks.
  • Learn and apply relevant software tools used in loan servicing and project tracking.
  • Collaborate closely with your direct manager and assign mentor to develop a comprehensive end of internship project.
  • Be assigned projects tailored to your department.
  • Deliver a final presentation of your project results and make business recommendations to your department, team members and executive leadership.
