About The Position

Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. (DBF) is hiring a Construction Administrator to support projects during the construction phase. Working in coordination with the Project Manager and design team, this role helps ensure that construction work adheres to project terms, plans, specifications, and budgets. The position also supports clients on projects that were not designed by DBF and will be responsible for building a construction/rehabilitation administration practice. The work spans a variety of projects and offers opportunities for promotion. This is an on-site, in-person position; hybrid and remote work are not available. The Construction Administrator independently manages assigned construction-phase activities and documentation, reviews project progress and costs, coordinates construction meetings and field coverage, and communicates technical, quality, contractual, cost, schedule, and documentation concerns to project leadership. The role may serve as lead RPR on complex assignments, provide technical guidance to RPR employees, and assist with project inspections and closeout. Construction administration must remain within DBF’s contractual role and authority; the employee does not assume responsibility for contractor means, methods, sequencing, procedures, or site safety outside DBF’s contractual scope. Applicants must have at least a two-year degree in engineering or construction management and experience with construction and construction documents. Six to ten years of progressively responsible construction or construction administration experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.
