As an EY-Parthenon advisor within our Transaction Execution Strategy group, you will be an integral part of project teams tasked with helping clients address their most pressing strategic issues. With your team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and implementing transactional strategies and gaining experience across various types of mandates in diverse sectors, including pre-close activities (due diligence, operational planning, carve-out planning) and post-close activities (integration planning, monitoring, value creation) impacting key functions.

Requirements

  • Hold professional designations (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, PMP, and CMC) or be in the process of obtaining them.
  • Possess 3 years of relevant work experience, an asset.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills, and the ability to assess complex business situations and problems to design potential solutions for clients.
  • Experience in financial statement analysis, risk assessment, and process improvement, an asset.
  • Effective organization and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple mandates or work of varying scope and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to draft reports and presentations clearly and concisely.
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, an asset.
  • Be a confident communicator with clients at all levels of the organization, including executives and members of the vice-presidency, management, and operational management, and possess strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word applications.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the US (must be authorized to work in Canada).
  • Fluency in French and English is required for this role, as it involves interaction with national and global clients.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, planning, and executing integration strategy by providing project management support and communicating with management.
  • Developing, planning, and executing divestiture strategy, supporting the development of an operating model and developing the transaction services agreement.
  • Operational due diligence, standalone cost setting, point cost setting, and operating model design.
  • Identifying, validating, and tracking synergies and value realization.
  • Developing transitional services agreements.
  • Developing M&A and integration strategy.
  • Supporting engagement teams in providing integration or carve-out services.
  • Assisting key client decision-makers in developing and executing their transaction strategy to ensure transaction value.
  • Participating in identifying risks and issues related to integration planning, timelines, and functional areas.
