About The Position

The incumbent acts as a Commercial Management Advisor to project and proposal teams. They contribute to the preparation, analysis, validation, and compliance of service proposals, cost estimates, billing rates, and contractual documentation, while ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and internal organizational processes. The incumbent actively supports internal teams and works closely with commercial, operational, and financial stakeholders to ensure the rigorous and compliant execution of mandates. This role involves Commercial Management and Proposal Support, Rate Management and Analysis, Contractual Compliance and Purchase Orders, and Internal Coordination and Continuous Improvement.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

  • Excellent command of French, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in English, as the work to be produced is intended for audiences located elsewhere in Canada, internationally, or in another region of the world.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the preparation and review of service proposals, including detailed cost estimates, hour forecasts, and the application of billing rates in accordance with applicable contractual agreements.
  • Review and validate the commercial consistency of proposals (assumptions and deviations, exclusions, indexation, and financial terms).
  • Support project teams and proposal coordinators in complying with proposal review, approval, and submission processes.
  • Contribute to commercial reviews of proposals and participate in approval meetings as required.
  • Maintain, analyze, and update billing rate matrices (employees and consultants) in accordance with contractual agreements and approved annual revisions.
  • Assess the impact of rate adjustments on project profitability and ensure their consistent application in proposals and internal tools.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to missing rates, specific rates, or exceptional cases from project teams or project controls.
  • Verify the compliance of purchase orders with service proposals and master agreements (amounts, contractual references, legal entities).
  • Coordinate with internal teams and, when required, with clients to correct or complete information prior to formal purchase order approval.
  • Confirm compliance and authorize the official use of purchase orders once all requirements are met.
  • Work closely with project teams, finance, project controls, and proposal teams to ensure efficient and compliant commercial processes.
  • Manage and prioritize a high volume of commercial requests while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Provide commercial advisory support to internal teams regarding best practices, contractual requirements, and the use of internal tools.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial tools, templates, databases, and processes (including Excel, SharePoint, and tracking tools).
  • Participate in training activities, knowledge transfer initiatives, and the enhancement of commercial review practices and internal procedures.
