About The Position

The Regional Sales Consultant will be responsible for driving SMB sales through our shareholder banks across the assigned regional markets to meet pre-set yearly targets. These targets include net new merchant acquisition, cross-selling to existing merchants, and an overall revenue goal. The role requires spending multiple days per week at assigned BMO/RBC bank locations to build relationships with bankers, educate them on Moneris solutions, and prospect for new clients. The consultant will develop in-depth knowledge of Moneris solutions to understand customer needs and match them to appropriate payment solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams within Moneris is also a key aspect of this role to advance sales opportunities through the funnel. The position is based in Montreal, with a hybrid work arrangement balancing in-office and remote flexibility. This is a sales-focused role with a salary range of $57,000-$80,000, plus potential variable compensation. The hiring class begins on July 20, 2026.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of strategic sales or account management or business development experience with a record of accomplishment with excellent sales results customer conversion and retention in a demanding fast-paced complex environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows/ MS Office Applications.
  • Must be fluently bilingual in English and French (reading, speaking and writing).
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships from pre-sales through to post-sales set-up and integration.
  • Develop business relationships with assigned accounts and help create proposals and presentations targeted at solving the needs of prospects and existing clients.
  • Achieve and maximize card manufacturing revenues target.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms and conditions to ensure pricing and terms reflect the achievement of corporate goals.
  • Provide input to Marketing and Product Development on important products and initiatives to close gaps in current product offering and in current client segment.
  • Drive execution for customer acquisition, speed-to-market, ease of integration, and service levels.
  • Create forecasts, sales reports, and ongoing status reports.
  • Ensure and educate on compliance, operating procedures and payment industry trends to the sales team and clients.
