About The Position

The Connectivity Foreman is responsible for supervising daily field activities and leading crew members in the installation of telecom and network infrastructure systems. This role provides hands-on leadership to technicians and laborers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. The Foreman supports project execution by coordinating schedules, reviewing plans, maintaining quality standards, and overseeing tasks such as fiber installation, structured cabling, and system troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive understanding of Front-End, Back-end networks as well as General Systems including splicing, testing, fiber trunk pulls, circuits audit, structured cabling, OSP, fiber jetting, fiber termination, Optic troubleshooting, distribution panels, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with national, state, and local telecom/electrical codes (Div27) and regulations governing construction and installation practices to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technology blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations accurately.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and practices, including OSHA regulations, to maintain a safe work environment and prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Understanding of Connectivity materials, tools, and equipment used in construction and maintenance projects, including their specifications, applications, and proper handling procedures.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot Connectivity problems, diagnose faults, and implement effective solutions to resolve issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing a team of Network Technicians and laborers by assigning tasks, setting clear expectations, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Overseeing daily crew production and providing constructive feedback and timely performance evaluations.
  • Training new hires and apprentices, while also providing ongoing development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and job performance.
  • Planning and scheduling telecommunication work to meet project deadlines.
  • Coordinating with project managers, other trades, and reviewing blueprints and specifications to allocate labor and resources effectively.
  • Conducting regular inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with project standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Identifying deficiencies and implementing corrective actions to maintain high-quality workmanship.
  • Enforcing all safety policies and procedures.
  • Conducting daily safety meetings and ensuring that team members use proper PPE and follow OSHA and company safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Managing procurement, inventory, and proper use of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensuring timely maintenance and repair of equipment as needed to avoid delays.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.
