Dexory is hiring a Connectivity Engineer to help keep its global robot fleet connected over cellular, Wi-Fi, and mesh VPN, often on customer networks outside the company’s control. The role is focused on software, troubleshooting, and customer support rather than enterprise network infrastructure. It is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and is hybrid, with the split open for discussion. The position is permanent and calls for flexibility around customer needs, including occasional evening incidents because robots operate across multiple time zones. The engineer will handle customer-site connectivity cases from initial report through resolution, work with customer IT teams, diagnose network and application issues, commission routers, and validate sites before robot arrivals. They will build tooling, primarily in Go and shell, add monitoring and alerts, and help establish runbooks and incident processes. The role also includes visiting warehouse sites to test coverage and bring robots online, including UK sites and occasional international travel. The successful candidate will work alongside the engineer who designed and operates the current connectivity stack. After onboarding, they will become the first point of contact for connectivity cases and progressively develop expertise in cellular connectivity, mesh VPN design, challenging Wi-Fi environments, and Go tooling for a live fleet. With experience, they will take ownership of components such as router commissioning tools or fleet monitoring. Candidates are asked to include a short note about something technical they built, broke, or fixed and what they learned.
