About The Position

Alight is seeking a collaborative, solutions-focused Configuration and Testing Analyst to support Alight Leave Solutions. The analyst partners with Account Executives, clients, and internal business and technology teams to understand business needs, gather and document requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and translate complex challenges into effective solutions. The role supports accurate configuration, testing, and delivery while promoting consistent processes and best practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Business analysis experience, including expertise in gathering, analyzing, and documenting complex business requirements.
• Experience in Absence & Disability, Leave of Absence, HR, employee benefits, and/or health insurance technology solutions.
• Proven ability to deliver detailed requirements for complex projects and support business transformation, process improvement, or automation initiatives.
• Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Notepad++, and/or configuration and integration platforms.
• Experience with Smart Sheets and JAVA is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across client-facing, business, operational, and technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Nice To Haves

• IIBA CCBA and/or CBAP certification.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business processes, identify gaps and challenges, and translate needs into actionable requirements.
• Lead requirements-gathering discussions and support system configuration, implementation, and testing using business-configurable tools.
• Identify process-improvement opportunities, increase efficiency, and establish scalable best practices.
• Build and maintain working relationships with client, business, and technical partners to support operational effectiveness.
• Serve as a functional escalation point by evaluating issues and coordinating appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with technology partners to align requirements and development efforts and support timely, accurate delivery.
• Mentor and support other Business Systems Analysts in requirements gathering, documentation, coordination, and analysis.
• Evaluate completed work and project outcomes to identify lessons and opportunities to strengthen future processes.
• Develop, document, and promote tools, resources, and best practices aligned with Alight Leave Solutions' business goals.
