BAE Systems is seeking a Configuration Analyst I to perform Hardware Configuration Management tasks. This role involves the fundamentals of Configuration Management: identification, change management, status accounting, audit, and verification. The position offers a flexible work environment, including the possibility of remote work up to 50% of the week, with final arrangements subject to hiring manager approval. The successful candidate will execute Hardware Configuration Management activities according to the Configuration Data Management Plan and BAE Systems policies. They will manage the change process, ensuring changes go through appropriate change boards. Responsibilities include using software applications to document Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) data and maintain it in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, supporting the establishment of a Configuration Control Board, maintaining a status accounting process with a Configuration Item Verification Record (CIVR), and interfacing with customers, subcontractors, and internal functional elements. The role may also involve providing hardware metrics. The Hardware Configuration Manager (HCM) will become proficient in PLM and BAE Systems procedures, staying current with industry standards and technology. Essential functions include exercising discretion and independent judgment, communicating effectively, exhibiting sound interpersonal skills, utilizing computer skills for reporting, making sound decisions while complying with policies, and analyzing/evaluating/developing/implementing processes within budget and schedule.
