About The Position

This is an early career opportunity for a Business Operations Analyst to support BAE Systems in York, Pennsylvania, potentially on a hybrid schedule. The role focuses on ensuring operational excellence through auditing rejected materials, data, and internal processes. The analyst will bridge quality standards and daily execution by documenting work instructions, managing non-conforming materials, and using data analysis for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and four years experience, or an Associates Degree and two years experience, or a Bachelors Degree
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook features
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Great attention to detail
  • Open to supporting a variety of tasks with flexibility to shift priorities
  • Organization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously including prioritizing, scheduling, and executing varied activities through coordination with management

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of multiple software packages is a plus
  • Experience communicating at various levels within a company structure is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits of physical rejected materials, digital data, and operational processes to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify gaps in compliance and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk.
  • Work with continuous improvement experts to address systemic noncompliances.
  • Author and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and step-by-step work instructions for rejected material.
  • Ensure all rejected material documentation is current, version-controlled, and aligned with quality management systems.
  • Assist in non-conforming materials activities.
  • Track the lifecycle of rejected materials to ensure timely resolution and prevent recurrence.
  • Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for process optimization.
  • Develop reports and dashboards that visualize quality metrics and audit findings for leadership.
  • Use data-driven insights to propose systemic improvements to existing workflows.
  • Manage critical notifications and updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of non-conforming material activities.
  • Coordinate schedules for recurring audits and compliance reviews.
