About The Position

Benesch is seeking a Conference & Media Technology Specialist for their New York office. This role is 100% in-office and is ideal for an engaging, interactive individual who is also tech-savvy in AV/media technology. The specialist will leverage their help desk skills to assist guests, Benesch employees, and stakeholders with their technology needs. This position plays a pivotal role in the organization by handling direct daily interactions with attorneys, assistants, and staff to facilitate conferencing needs via modern media tools. They will assist with scheduled meetings, ongoing legal proceedings, or short-notice meetings, serving as the go-to expert in Firm meeting technology.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Solid Windows 10 desktop experience
  • Familiarity with modern conferencing platforms including WebEx, Zoom, and Teams
  • Understanding of how to best utilize platforms/scheduling toolsets
  • Understanding of the backend software of platforms (direct routing, troubleshooting jitter, integrations, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with internal teams and external parties
  • Ability to convey information and knowledge effectively to non-tech users
  • Ability to balance multiple requests
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of client service

Responsibilities

  • Offer guidance and support in the set-up and testing of meetings, including the facilitation of those meetings as needed.
  • Review and validate that scheduled meetings have started.
  • Understand which platforms meet particular client needs and support the end user accordingly.
  • Learn the ongoing office conferencing needs, know which platforms meet particular client needs, and direct users accordingly.
  • Assist in the planning, staging, and testing for the facilitation of conferencing needs in the various office locations and passing on knowledge as the platforms and client needs continue to evolve.
  • Oversee the supporting of 12-15 physical conferencing suites as well as local and virtual assistance on all platforms.
  • Monitor weekly conferencing schedule needs and assist where appropriate in any delivery needs for optimal client experience.
  • Quickly assess and resolve urgent client meeting needs while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Troubleshoot conferencing aesthetics (lighting, sound, webcams) and coach users on resolving any occurring issues and best practices.
  • Successfully coordinate a multi-site blended conference meeting (physical and virtual) across different time zones.
  • Assist with Help Desk volume during periods of reduced conference floor activity.
