Concrete Laborer

About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to assist with the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete projects while following safety standards and project specifications. The role involves working collaboratively on construction sites and requires physical stamina and attention to detail. The position works 60 or more hours per week. The team works on construction, renovation, restoration, and hardscape projects.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge and ability to operate various tools and machinery.
Experience with concrete forming, finishing, pumping, and masonry work.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
Strong physical condition and ability to perform heavy lifting regularly.
Commitment to construction-site safety standards.
A valid commercial driving license may be required depending on job assignments.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with construction estimating practices.
Knowledge of carpentry techniques, including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and roofing.
Skills in caulking, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and welding.

Responsibilities

Assist in setting up and preparing concrete forms and structures.
Operate concrete mixers and other heavy equipment as needed.
Install rebar and ensure it is properly placed for structural integrity.
Perform concrete finishing techniques to achieve the desired surface quality.
Use hand and power tools for tasks including plastering, masonry, and flooring installation.
Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
Perform heavy lifting and material handling on site.
Collaborate with team members on renovation, restoration, and hardscape projects.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
Participate in training for heavy equipment operation and other specialized skills.
