About The Position

The Concrete Laborer is part of Pramira’s outside plant division and is directed by the Construction Foreman. The role is accountable for accurate work and for following company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and production. The laborer assists with concrete construction and site work, including handling conduit and cables, and must comply with Pramira’s safety standards when operating equipment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
At least 1 year of concrete experience.
Self-motivated and able to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers.
Ability to exert heavy physical effort and lift heavy objects; kneel, crouch, balance, climb, or crawl.
Frequently use hand tools and pneumatic tools, including tampers, compactors, 60- and 90-pound jackhammers, and chipping hammers.
Ability to assist with installation of conduit, hand holes, vaults, manholes, and cable.
Must pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
Assist crew members with construction work as required.
Use hand and power tools to finish concrete surfaces.
Smooth and level concrete surfaces with trowels and other tools.
Mix, pour, and spread concrete mixtures.
Install anchors, forms, and other fixtures in concrete.
Check the quality of finished products.
Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment safely.
Dig trenches and remove, fill, or compact earth.
Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces.
Assist with handling and placement of conduit and cables.
Maintain equipment.
Perform site clean-up.
Complete all required company documentation.
Comply with proper safety standards, procedures, and work practices while operating equipment according to Pramira’s safety standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
