The Concrete Foreman oversees concrete laborers and directs concrete construction activities at assigned job sites, including preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing. This is a working foreman role: the employee supervises the crew while also participating directly in concrete construction and must be able to effectively move machinery. The position is based in Salisbury, Massachusetts, with typical hours of approximately 6:00 AM–2:30 PM; schedules and travel may vary with project and customer needs. Per diem is provided for overnight stays outside the Salisbury area. The foreman manages job-site activities and workforce performance, and coordinates scheduling, training, safety, materials, quality, cost, and project timelines. The role involves checking concrete forms, monitoring weather conditions that may affect curing, preparing work schedules and labor and material estimates, and reading blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate work. The foreman also works with safety personnel on training and incident investigations and reporting, and builds effective relationships with customers and employees. The work may involve extreme outdoor conditions throughout the year and may require weekend or holiday work. Physical activities include climbing, standing, walking, sitting, lifting or moving up to 50 pounds, handling tools and equipment, reaching, and operating or manipulating equipment controls.
