Concrete Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative
About The Position
S&W Ready Mix Concrete, a subsidiary of Titan America LLC, is seeking a Concrete Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative. This hourly position reports to the Dispatch Manager. The primary responsibility is to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through order taking, dispatching, scheduling of drivers and deliveries, delivery efficiency, and inter-department communication. Requirements
- High School education or equivalent required
- Two to four years’ experience in dispatch or logistics required
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Previous customer service experience in a high pressure/high volume environment required
- Excellent PC skills, Excel, Outlook, Word
- Familiar with geographical areas in Castle Hayne, NC area
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime
- Good telephone and 2-way radio skills
- Ability to deal with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner
Nice To Haves
- Secondary education preferred
- Construction industry experience strongly preferred
- Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred
- Previous experience with Trimble a plus
Responsibilities
- Responsible for order taking, scheduling, and customer relations
- Maintain efficient delivery controls through proper scheduling and accurate order entry into the dispatch system
- Resolve transportation conflicts and handle unusual and difficult customer complaints
- Provide customer support to ensure maximum efficiency
- Embraces and enhances a performance based Safety Culture
- Is positive and upbeat in all communications with customers and other departments
- Relentlessly pursues a solution to every issue that a customer brings to them
- Deep desire to exceed expectations of internal and external customers; not satisfied with just meeting expectations
- Identify and communicate repairs and maintenance of logistics communication equipment
