About The Position

The Concourse Team Member works under the supervision of the Food and Beverage Supervisor, Food and Beverage Manager, and designated Concourse Supervisor providing prompt, excellent food and beverage service to customers and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction. The employee performs all job tasks in compliance with the philosophy, policies, goals, and budget of Traverse City Baseball, Inc.

Requirements

  • Strong presentation of customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable running a POS system
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours and remain flexible.
  • Holidays and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to stand up for 3+ hours at a time.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions.
  • Project a positive image to internal (employees) and external (fans) customers.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
  • Takes customer orders, collects payment, and serves the product.
  • Be available and visible whenever customers are present.
  • Assists in opening of the stand which includes stocking area, prepping food, and helping supervisor with any projects that need to be completed.
  • Be aware and offers assistance to guests as needed.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of menu items and knowledge of all ballpark concession products.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized throughout the event.
  • Operate the POS system, accurately enter guest orders, and conduct payment transactions.
  • Ability to be flexible and trainable at different positions around the concourse.
  • Complete closing duties such as cleaning, washing dishes, sweeping floor and mopping.
  • Organize the kitchen and storage rooms, keeping it clean.
  • Other duties as assigned.
