About The Position

As a Concierge, you will be connecting guests to the best their destination has to offer – whether it’s beaches, restaurants or cultural experiences. You will be an ambassador for exceptional service with a passion to continually exceed expectations and anticipate guest needs to ensure our guests feel valued. This role involves coordinating all aspects of guest requests, recording and tracking all pertinent communications, bookings and details of guest itineraries to the highest level of satisfaction at all times. Maintaining communication of up-to-date, accurate information between guests, staff, management and our partners on a daily basis is crucial. You will be expected to share information about the resort and activities, island activities, restaurants, and other information as it pertains to guests. Developing and maintaining contacts and professional working relationships with counterparts in other Fairmont properties, the Maui community and hospitality service providers in our area is also a key part of the role. You must be able to adhere to the State of Hawaii food handling safety standards and actively participate in monthly departmental sales promotions. Organizing time so all work is completed according to shift demand and maintaining an atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests are essential. You will focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times, and be knowledgeable of the island, our resort, resort venue menu and resort offerings in order to be our guests’ trusted guide.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and/or vocational training
  • Minimum of one year experience in a fast paced Hotel environment involving multi-tasking, attention to detail, administrative duties and customer service.
  • All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).
  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work the United States

Nice To Haves

  • A Degree in Hotel/Hospitality or Tourism is an asset.
  • Previous experience in luxury hotel environment desirable.
  • Les Clefs d’Or is an asset.
