About The Position

Guardian Service Industries is hiring a Concierge/Porter in New York City. The position requires high-end customer service experience and porter experience. Employees interact with residents, guests, and vendors, assist with requests and complaints, support daily building operations, and help maintain building safety and security. Duties may vary depending on the building and location. Applicants must pass a background check upon hire.

Requirements

• At least one year of concierge experience.
• Porter experience is required.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Able to stand for more than six hours.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Flexibility in changing environments and schedules.
• Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
• Reliable and consistent transportation to and from work sites.
• Must successfully pass a background check upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Interact positively with residents, guests, and vendors; assist with day-to-day requests and resolve complaints.
• Communicate with building management and other staff to support smooth daily operations.
• Log and track concierge and building keys for resident use and move-ins or move-outs.
• Help maintain building safety and security, including monitoring security cameras, responding promptly and efficiently to emergencies and concerns, exercising sound judgment, and escalating issues immediately.
• Log and distribute packages and handle deliveries from external vendors.
• Maintain accurate and complete shift logs to support effective handovers between shifts.
