Day Porter/Daytime Property Maintenance Position
About The Position
A locally owned, family-oriented business established in 1991 is hiring a full-time Day Porter for daily property maintenance. The role involves cleaning the outdoor areas of shopping centers, office buildings, and industrial buildings during morning hours by removing trash and debris and keeping properties presentable to customers. The position may involve driving a pickup truck and sweeper. The schedule is flexible: the employer would like the porter to work eight hours a day, five days a week, with the days and hours determined by the employee before hiring. A 45-minute paid lunch is provided. Starting pay is $17 per hour, with raises based on performance and tenure; overtime is available. The workplace is drug-free.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must be reliable and able to work flexible hours.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be available any day of the week.
- Employment references are encouraged.
Nice To Haves
- Mechanical ability is a plus, but is not required.
- Experience in fields such as truck driving, construction, labor, maintenance, cleaning, landscaping, equipment operation, or waste management may be relevant.
