About The Position

Guardian Service Industries is hiring a Concierge/Porter in New York City. The position requires high-end customer service experience and porter experience. Employees positively interact with residents, guests, and vendors while assisting with day-to-day requests and resolving complaints. They communicate with building management and other staff to support smooth daily operations, track building and concierge keys, and help maintain building safety and security. Duties also include monitoring security cameras, responding promptly and efficiently to emergencies and concerns, escalating issues when appropriate, handling and logging package and vendor deliveries, and maintaining complete shift logs to support handovers. Additional requirements may depend on the building and location. Candidates must successfully pass a background check upon hire. The company may modify or waive the described requirements and duties at its discretion. The position offers a pay rate of $23.08 and requires availability Saturday through Wednesday, with morning and evening shifts.

Requirements

• At least one year of concierge experience.
• Porter experience is required.
• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for more than six hours.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Flexibility in changing environments and schedules.
• Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
• Reliable and consistent transportation to and from work sites.
• Must successfully pass a background check upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Positively interact with residents, guests, and vendors, assist with day-to-day requests, and resolve complaints.
• Communicate with building management and other staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Log and track concierge and building keys for resident use and move-ins or move-outs.
• Help maintain building safety and security, including monitoring security cameras and responding promptly and efficiently to emergencies and concerns.
• Exercise good judgment and escalate issues immediately when necessary.
• Log and distribute package deliveries and handle external vendor deliveries.
• Maintain accurate and complete shift logs and provide effective handovers between shifts.
