About The Position

The Concierge serves as the central communication hub of the community. This role is responsible for greeting visitors, answering and directing incoming calls, assisting residents, coordinating information, and ensuring a polished and professional front desk experience. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, personable, and thrives in a hospitality-focused environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous concierge, front desk, hotel, hospitality, customer service, or receptionist experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Must be dependable and able to work independently during evening hours

Responsibilities

  • Welcome residents, families, guests, and vendors with professionalism and warmth
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously
  • Receive and communicate messages accurately to the appropriate parties
  • Provide information, directions, and assistance to residents and visitors
  • Manage front desk operations during the PM shift
  • Open and close the front desk area and secure files, keys, and office equipment
  • Assist with transportation schedules, event registrations, appointments, and reservations
  • Confirm resident transportation and activity registrations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as assigned
  • Support community operations by handling multiple priorities while maintaining excellent customer service
  • Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the luxury standards of The Variel
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to operate a multi-line phone system, computer, and office equipment
  • Ability to remain focused and productive in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
