About The Position

The Toledo Complex, which includes the Huntington Center and the Glass City Center, is seeking a Concessions Manager to support concessions operations across both locations. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, this role is responsible for service execution, daily operations, staff management, and maintaining inventory standards for food and beverage functions. A key aspect of this position is inventory control, with a strong focus on forecasting and production needs.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous management experience in a similar venue.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification
  • ServSafe Alcohol Certification
  • ServSafe Allergen Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to control costs, generate increased revenue, and manage accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate constant change.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to train workers in preparation and cooking food to ensure high quality, efficient, and profitable food service.
  • Ability to manage several direct reports.
  • Must be able to pass a background/credit check.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university.
  • Experience working with Excel, Word, and Outlook Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise concessions employees in the preparation and service of food and refreshments, as well as clean-up.
  • Assist in the training of concessions employees to ensure high quality, efficient, and profitable food service.
  • Create a positive customer experience and maintain a pleasant attitude when working with staff and customers.
  • Purchase concessions product according to anticipated demand and public taste, in coordination with the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Determine menu and pricing in collaboration with the Director.
  • Direct the storage, preparation, and serving of retail products by workers at concession stands.
  • Tabulate receipts, balance accounts, and generate reports for Finance.
  • Conduct daily or periodic inventories of all products in concession stands.
  • Operate within established food and labor cost guidelines.
  • Comply with Corporate initiatives, Health Department, and ABC regulations.
  • Schedule the team using ABIMM for events and day work as needed.
  • Staff and manage the team working at Huntington Center & Glass City Center.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Appraise performance, reward, and discipline employees in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
