About The Position

The Concessions Clerk helps foster a communal atmosphere at camp by providing snacks, meals, and desserts for campers and guests at Hume’s coffee, apparel, and snack shops. The role provides general assistance with quality products and customer service in a joyful, servant-hearted manner. Work locations may include the Apparel shop, Snack Shop Trailer, and Coffee Shop, depending on need.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment to live in staff housing, or be a high school graduate who is a dependent resident of Hume in staff housing.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and work indoors or outdoors as needed.
• Dependable and punctual, and able to work under supervision.
• Must agree with and support Hume Christian Camps’ Statement of Faith.
• Must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel through word and deed.
• Ability to stand and walk, frequently lift 50 pounds, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to live and work in extreme weather conditions, at high altitude, and in small living quarters.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer service, food service, or as a barista.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cashiering, cleaning, and preparing quick-serve meals, snacks, coffee, and other products.
• Work in assigned locations and remain flexible to serve where needed, including the Apparel shop, Snack Shop Trailer, and Coffee Shop.
• Follow safety procedures and directions provided by supervisors.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a Christ-centered team environment.
• Represent Hume Christian Camps’ values and mission through conduct, attitude, and service.
