About The Position

The Concession Worker greets and interacts with guests in a friendly, courteous, responsive, and accurate manner. This role involves working with various types of food, replenishing supplies, performing cashing duties, and providing routine support to higher-level management staff. The position requires delivering superior guest service according to Boyd Gaming's Six Core Service Standards and working harmoniously with team members. Responsibilities include assisting guests with order requests, opening and closing the outlet, inspecting areas for safety and maintenance needs, monitoring and maintaining supplies, serving and packaging food, operating a cash register, and notifying management of suspicious activity.

Requirements

Some experience to effectively perform the position duties, with at least two (2) months on the job training in a snack bar or similar food service experience.
Must be able to obtain all Regulatory licenses that are required.
Must successfully pass background check.
Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening.
Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
Must be willing to work weekends, Friday and Saturday nights, and holidays if needed.
Knowledge of operations, services and activities of a customer service and concession operation.
Knowledge of principles and practices of cashiering and denominations of currency.
Knowledge of methods of snack bar operations.
Knowledge of food safety and rules and regulations.
Knowledge of principles and practices of cleaning standards and customer service.
Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
Ability to receive orders, carry food orders, stock supplies and bus tables.
Ability to operate a variety of equipment which includes a slicer, meat scale, cash register, coffee machine, microwave, steamer, hot dog roaster, beverage dispenser, grill and shake machine.
Ability to receive monies and make change.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
Ability to interpret and explain policies and procedures.
Ability to interpret and apply federal, state and local policies, laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, responsive, and accurate manner.
Work with various types of food and refreshments.
Replenish supplies and perform cashing duties.
Provide routine support duties to higher level management staff.
Assist guests and customers with order requests; fill orders correctly and correct incorrect orders professionally.
Open and close outlet in accordance with established procedures.
Ensure sanitation and protect company assets.
Inspect all areas of responsibility for safety and maintenance needs; take action as needed for a clean, safe, and productive work environment.
Monitor and maintain supplies needed for the operation and cleaning; maintain par levels; refill supplies for operations and items for sale.
Participate in the serving and packaging of food and refreshments; maintain a clean work station.
Make change and operate a cashier machine; ensure correct change is provided to guest.
Notify higher level management of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely manner.
Attend and participate in professional group meetings; maintain awareness of new trends and innovations in the field of customer service.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
