About The Position

The Concession Worker greets and interacts with our guest in a friendly, courteous, responsive and accurate manner; works with various types of food, replenishes supplies and performs cashing duties; provides routine support duties to higher level management staff; and performs related tasks within area of assignment. This role delivers superior internal and external guest service the Boyd Gaming Way by ensuring every interaction includes our Six Core Service Standards (Look sharp, smile and greet the guest; Be friendly, polite and use courteous language; Provide especially timely and knowledgeable service and then some; Always find solutions to guests’ problems; Use the guest’s name when appropriate; Thank the guest and invite him or her back.); and work harmoniously with fellow team members. The Concession Worker assumes responsibility for greeting and interacting with our guest in a friendly, courteous, responsive and accurate manner; and works with various types of food and refreshments, replenishes supplies and performs cashing duties. This role assists guests and customers with order requests; fills orders correctly and corrects incorrect orders in a professional manner. The Concession Worker opens and closes outlet in accordance with established procedures; ensures sanitation and protects company assets. This role inspects all areas of responsibility for safety and maintenance needs; takes action as needed for a clean, safe, and productive work environment. The Concession Worker monitors and maintains supplies needed for the operation and cleaning; maintains par levels; refills supplies for operations and items for sale. This role participates in the serving and packaging of food and refreshments; maintains a clean work station. The Concession Worker makes change and operates a cashier machine; ensures correct change is provided to guest. This role notifies higher level management of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely manner. The Concession Worker attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the field of customer service. Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

Some experience to effectively perform the position duties.
At least two (2) months on the job training in a snack bar or similar food service experience.
Must be able to obtain all Regulatory licenses that are required.
Must successfully pass background check.
Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening.
Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
Must be willing to work weekends, Friday and Saturday nights, and holidays if needed.

Responsibilities

Inspect areas of responsibility for safety and maintenance needs, taking action as needed.
Monitor and maintain supplies for operation and cleaning, refilling as necessary.
Serve and package food and refreshments, maintaining a clean work station.
Notify management of any suspicious or unusual activity or transactions.
Attend and participate in professional group meetings and stay aware of new trends in customer service.
