Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Candidate for the engineering profession
  • Relevant experience (internship and/or employment) in building mechanics
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French
  • Leadership, curiosity, critical thinking, autonomy, versatility, creativity, ability to manage priorities, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards in Quebec and for building mechanical system design.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit software.
  • Construction ASP card.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys of existing conditions or installations.
  • Contribute to the development of plans using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Perform technical design and coordination of building mechanics projects.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to develop solutions tailored to client needs in various sectors (institutional, offices, commercial, cultural, and residential).
  • Analyze, design, and adapt mechanical installations related to buildings.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings (architecture, structure, electricity).
  • Perform basic calculations in ventilation, heating, hydronics, and plumbing.
  • Participate in the production of plans.
  • Write technical specifications and reports.
  • Conduct construction cost estimates.
  • Contact suppliers/representatives for equipment selection.
  • Provide support and participate in work supervision.
  • Conduct site visits to validate installation compliance.
  • Perform various related tasks, including administrative tasks.
