About The Position

Everest Automation Inc. is a leader in the distribution of industrial automation equipment and services in Eastern Canada (from Manitoba to the Atlantic) for over 25 years. Reporting to the supervisor of engineering and integrated solutions, the candidate will assess the scope of projects, be responsible for the design of solutions, prepare proposals, and manage their implementation. Our projects aim to establish long-term relationships in a spirit of partnership with our clients. The candidate's area of expertise is related to analytical instruments. They must master the necessary technologies in this field (instrumentation, chemistry, physics) to propose reliable and pragmatic solutions and will be able to adapt to the company's policies and work methods. Experience in the oil and gas industry is an asset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, physical, or electrical)
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Good knowledge of analytical instruments: Gas analyzer (infrared, process photometer, etc.), FTIR analyzer, Gas chromatograph for process, Sampling system, Mass spectrometer for process, CEMS
  • Knowledge of hazardous location classification
  • Knowledge of instrument symbols and identification according to ISA (ISA-5.1)
  • Knowledge of protocols and performance specifications 1/PG/7
  • Knowledge of air quality and pollution regulations
  • Knowledge and experience in integrating analytical instruments. This means offering a complete solution specifically adapted to the client's needs.
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel and Visio, Outlook, Teams
  • Mastery of written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Interpersonal skills (empathy, motivation, cooperation, and leadership).
  • Ensures to anticipate problems and address them quickly.
  • Demonstrates a sense of ethics, honesty, and loyalty
  • Organizational skills.
  • Mastery of French and English (Oral and written) due to client support in Quebec and outside Quebec
  • Possess a driver's license and a valid passport, may be called upon to travel occasionally.
  • Occasional overtime will be necessary
