About The Position

As a Concept Vehicle & Demo Technician you will do hands-on vehicle work with the digital design, surfacing, and logistical expertise to turn vehicle and tech demonstrator concepts into reality. This role combines mechanical aptitude with strong CAD capabilities to support prototype development, surface modeling, component fitment, and real-world validation. The ideal candidate is comfortable turning wrenches in the shop one day and producing high-quality surfacing or 3D models the next.

Requirements

  • 3+ year Experience working on vehicles — mechanical, electrical, or prototype assembly
  • 2+ year Proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Inventor, Alias
  • 1+ years Understanding of surfacing workflows such as Class A surfacing, NURBS modeling, surface continuity, and complex form development
  • Strong problem solving skills, both hands-on and in digital environments
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and build requirements
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in fast-paced prototype environments with a natural bias for collaboration
  • Inherent willingness and ability to learn through on-the-job experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vehicle prototype builds, custom fabrication, automotive assembly processes or motorsports environments
  • Ability to operate shop tools, fabrication equipment or scanning hardware
  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping workflows
  • Background in model-making, transportation design or industrial design surfacing

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on work on vehicles, including disassembly, installation, diagnostics, and prototype component fitment
  • Support necessary demo property and vehicle logistics, and assist in the coordination and maintenance of a global pool of functional assets
  • Create, modify, and maintain 3D CAD models and high-quality surface geometry (Class A level preferred)
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and fabrication teams to conduct feasibility and packaging studies, and help translate concepts into build-ready components
  • Document work through notes, CAD updates and workshop reports
