About The Position

Sunflower Electric Power Corporation, a generation and transmission utility serving central and western Kansas, is seeking a Computer Systems Technician in Great Bend, Kansas. The technician will provide IT support, maintain and upgrade hardware, network infrastructure, and software, and efficiently resolve technical issues. The role collaborates with Infrastructure Services teams and vendors to assess technology needs and implement solutions that help keep the company’s technology infrastructure secure, reliable, and performing effectively. The position offers opportunities to develop knowledge of emerging hardware, software, networking technologies, and advanced troubleshooting techniques in a fast-paced industrial environment. The technician will contribute to a larger team and help streamline incident management, system changes, and maintenance processes to reduce downtime, improve response times, and increase operational efficiency.

Requirements

Associate degree or technical degree in computer science, information systems, or another computer-related field and two years of experience installing and troubleshooting network systems and applications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Windows Server and desktop operating systems, virtual server technology, and Internet applications.
