About The Position

Predicate Logic is seeking a motivated Computer Systems Analyst II to join their team at the Naval Information Warfare Center - Atlantic (NIWC-A) in Portsmouth, VA. Founded in 1992, Predicate Logic is a woman-owned, employee-owned, high-technology engineering service company with corporate headquarters in San Diego, California. They also have offices in Chesapeake, Virginia, specializing in communications engineering, training, and Cybersecurity, and Charleston, South Carolina, supporting Navy and Marine Corps programs.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be eligible for a Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Network Systems, Systems Administration, and Communications, including RF paths and providing IP network connectivity.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be qualified as Cyber Security Work Force Information Assurance Technician (IAT 2).
  • Minimal certification of CompTIA Security Plus - Continuous Education (CE).
  • Technical Training in Information Technology, Electronics Information Systems (EIS), Electronics Technology, Cyber Security.

Nice To Haves

  • First-hand experience desired in CISCO Router / Switch configuration and troubleshooting (Any of the following CCNA/CCDA/CCNP/CCDP/CCSP is strongly desired).
  • First-hand experience desired in Microsoft Domain Administration (MCSA/MCSE is strongly desired).
  • First-hand experience desired in Configuration and troubleshooting of Systems Backups.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and configure network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software, including servers, VPNs, routing protocols, access lists, and security systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve hardware/software problems for end-users.
  • Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with RMF and DISA STIGs.
  • Manage user accounts, access controls, and permissions following least-privilege principles.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, including patching, backups, and disk management.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and Navy data protection standards (CUI, classified data as applicable).
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for network system configurations, procedures, and operational changes.
  • Protect networks from attacks, manage user access, and maintain security protocols.
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement upgrades to improve efficiency and capacity.
  • Provide training and support to users on network systems and applications.
  • Troubleshooting and repair serial and IP-based communications systems and networks.
  • Provide distance support with demonstrated ability to interface with remote users via chat, telephone, naval messaging, and email to assist in troubleshooting of operational systems.
  • Develop and provide test and evaluation support for new concepts, lead site testing, System Operational Verification tests, and other events requiring networking expertise.
