About The Position

The Computer Field Service Technician is a long-term contract-to-hire role serving the Spokane, Washington metro area and surrounding areas. The technician is assigned service requests to repair laptops and desktops, and uses a company-provided phone to close service tickets in real time in the Call Management system. The role requires reliable transportation, a personal reliable car, and car insurance. The stated pay rate is $24.29 per hour on W-2, plus mileage; weekly mileage is estimated at 300–400 miles.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix.
• General knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware and software, including basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Ability to resolve basic or non-complex problems as directed.
• Must have a reliable personal car and car insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Computer-building background experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair laptops and desktop computers in the metro area and surrounding areas.
• Perform break-fix repairs, including replacing hard drives, motherboards, and keyboards.
• Perform whole-unit swaps and repair or replace PC peripherals.
• Close service tickets in real time in the Call Management system using a company-provided phone.
