Computer Field Service Technician
About The Position
The Computer Field Service Technician is assigned service requests to repair laptops and desktop computers in the metro area and surrounding locations. The role includes replacing components, swapping complete units, and repairing or replacing PC peripherals. The technician must have reliable transportation and a personal car with insurance, and must close service tickets in real time in the client call management system using a company-provided phone. The position is a long-term contract-to-perm role based in Herndon, Virginia, with a pay rate of $25.90 per hour on W-2 plus mileage reimbursement; the posting estimates 300 to 400 miles per week.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix.
- Own a reliable car and maintain car insurance.
- Have reliable transportation for servicing the metro area and surrounding locations.
- General knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware and software, including basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Ability to resolve basic or non-complex problems as directed.
