About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking a Compute Deployment Lead to spearhead the deployment of compute infrastructure for AI. The company's mission is to make humanity more free by enabling the rapid deployment of AI compute. This role is crucial in ensuring that AI models are aligned with human desires and that frontier compute infrastructure is delivered at scale and speed. The Deployments Team is responsible for everything between construction handover and customer-ready compute, including racks, fabric, and validation at hundreds of megawatts per site. They aim to stand up gigawatts a year, hundreds of megawatts at a time, turning data halls into serving GPUs in weeks. A key focus is deploying 10GW with software, not headcount, by building tooling for bring-up, validation, and handoff to scale operations efficiently.

Requirements

Experience leading compute or server deployment at data center scale.
Experience building bring-up processes that significantly cut deployment time.
Experience managing mixed teams of engineers and technicians.
Proven ability to refuse to hand over hardware that did not pass, even under pressure.

Responsibilities

Lead compute deployment across sites, managing the team and processes for taking GPU nodes from dock to validated clusters.
Own the compute deployment schedule per hall, ensuring thousands of nodes are racked, imaged, burned in, and validated within weeks.
Build the bring-up factory, developing automation and crew workflows that can scale across parallel sites.
Maintain the validation bar, ensuring no cluster is handed over to production without proving its performance.
