About The Position

OTC is hiring a Compressor Technician to service DIRECTAIR sites across the Greater Cleveland area. The role involves hands-on work with compressed air systems and other rotating equipment, remote site monitoring, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The technician will communicate site needs to customers and the company, maintain a stocked service vehicle, respond to urgent and emergency calls, and follow safety protocols. OTC provides operational support, ongoing training, and opportunities for career advancement. The position offers an hourly wage of $25 to $40, depending on experience and qualifications, and an available flexible four-day, 10-hour schedule.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong communication skills.
Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
Coachable and eager to learn.

Nice To Haves

Experience servicing rotary screw, oil-free, and/or oil-flooded air compressors is preferred.

Responsibilities

Service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment at DIRECTAIR sites across the region.
Monitor sites remotely and proactively respond to issues.
Diagnose problems and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
Identify site repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance needs.
Complete accurate service reports and communicate site needs.
Keep the service vehicle stocked with tools and order parts needed at sites.
Respond to urgent and emergency service calls to minimize downtime.
Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
