About The Position

OTC is seeking a highly experienced Air Compressor Technician to diagnose, service, maintain, and repair compressed air equipment in customer environments. The role works hands-on with compressed air systems and other rotating equipment, requires the ability to work independently, and includes ongoing training and development. The technician represents OTC professionally, builds strong customer relationships, and helps customers improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience servicing rotary screw, oil-free, and/or oil-flooded air compressors.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
• Coachability and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
• Diagnose issues and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Identify and sell repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Complete accurate service reports and maintain compliance.
• Keep the service vehicle stocked with tools and parts.
• Respond to urgent and emergency service calls to minimize downtime.
• Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
